Drumming
 
"Drumming", ein Stück in vier Sätzen, ausschließlich für Schlaginstrumente geschrieben, baut auf rhythmischen Prozessen auf, die einfach beginnen und sich zu immer dichterer Komplexität entwickeln. Auch die Choreographie geht von einer einzigen Bewegungsphase aus, die während des einstündigen Stückes durch unendliche Kombinationen, Variationen und Veränderungen vollständig ausgeschöpft wird.
 
"Drumming" gibt mir eine große Freiheit, ich muß die Bewegung nicht jedem Wechsel in der Musik folgen lassen... Ich bin fasziniert von Struktur... ich hasse es, wenn der Mechanismus nicht perfekt und klar funktioniert. Doch die wundervollste Erfahrung ist es zu erleben, wie eine solche Konstruktion etwas Neues, nicht Faßbares, Flüchtiges hervorbringt - ein Gefühl".
