The fact that I'm singing (instead of dancing) is not strange: The use of the voice in my work is not recent and it is part of my vision of a performer specialized in 'everything', using all means that the body needs to express what it has to say. Also, I feel very close to what the music, the poetry and the art of Caetano Veloso set free: something very close to tragedy and generosity, to pain and love, to death and potential. Vera Mantero
