Three heroines amongst themselves, stranded in an unspecified jungle somewhere after a crash. Far from camera lenses and exploitation by the media, they are thrown back on themselves. Accustomed to posing and presenting their wonderfully smooth super-heroine facades in the spotlight, they are suddenly forced to deal with their own inner selves. Does a super-heroine have a soul? NO WONDER is the second collaboration between Constanza Macras and Lisi Estaras, who both grew up under the military regime in Argentina. In NO WONDER, their quest for the superlative in gender roles takes them from the 70's to the present and the only real super-heroine in the piece, Martha Stewart, is played by a man.
