In a labyrinthine stage set, nine people are propelled through everyday situations by a wind machine and a sound installation based on three electric guitars – creating fascinating visuals and a wall of sound. The piece provides a political interpretation of our environment by one of Europe’s most experienced choreographers.
Maguy Marin has been director of the Centre Chorégraphique National in Rillieux-la-Pape since 1998. The Centre is both a site for interdisciplinary production, and research for artists and a meeting place for the citizens of the region. Maguy Marin has developed various projects in the social sector and firmly believes in the poetic power of art to (re)create the world and encourage individuals to engage in autonomous and critical thinking.
