“‘I’ IS MEMORY presents kinetic images that I share with Louise, creating an aesthetic whose trajectory can take unpredictable turns. The dance leads us directly to the self, dissociated from its references, in the process of developing an empathetic relationship with its surroundings.” (Benoît Lachambre)
“In the second solo work, I aim to move away from the performance domain to emphasize speed, vivacity, and fluidity in the choreographic phrasing. I’m still strongly attracted to extreme gesture and pure movement. That’s why I chose Crystal Pite, who has worked with William Forsythe at Ballett Frankfurt, and has a distinct, complex movement language and a keen sense of wit and invention.” (Louise Lecavalier)
