She is as wild, spicy, and astute as the body in those lucid moments when it becomes aware of the fundamental absurdities of its existence. In her new piece SOLO – which, despite its name, is actually a trio – Young alludes to the principle of the absurd in Albert Camus’s THE MYTH OF SISYPHUS: Experience is possible, redemption unlikely. Ann Liv Young relates truths – some sweet, some tough – about the joys and adversities of life, taking us on a trip through memories, emotions, and fantasies that is at once surreal und hyperreal.
