EUR 8 COMING SOON stellte über 60 Menschen im Rahmen der Überlegungen zu einem neuen Ort für Tanz in Berlin folgende Frage: „Wie soll Ihr Studio und / oder Arbeitsbereich aussehen?“ Diese einfache Frage führte zu der Reflektion darüber, wie der Raum die künstlerische Praxis beeinflusst und welche Bedürfnisse die Betroffenen eigentlich haben. COMING SOON präsentiert die geführten Interviews in einer Video- und Audioinstallation und lädt zu zwei Gesprächsrunden mit internationalen Architekten und Künstlern ein, deren Arbeiten auf ein Umdenken in der Herstellung von Räumen zielt – frei von historischen Vorbildern und Typologien. Die Performance CHOREOGRAPHING BOOKS von Peter Pleyer beschließt die Recherche – eine persönliche Sammlung an Tanzbüchern, nebeneinander, gegeneinander gestellt: Wissenslandschaften. With the possibility of a new dance venue for Berlin, COMING SOON interviewed over 60 people working within dance production asking: „How would you like your studio/workspace to be?“ From this simple question, the complex issue of how space affects one‘s artistic practice is considered and the needs of the community exposed. Over one day COMING SOON presents video and audio installations based on these findings plus a series of talks from international architects and artists whose work aims to rethink the production of spaces unrestrained by historical and homogeneous typologies. International Festival (Stockholm), Tor Lindstrand and Mårten Spångberg have in the last seven years developed a number of radical projects related to performance and architecture. Lindstrand and Spångberg create performances, installations and also lecture internationally. Sarah Wigglesworth (London) is professor of architecture at the Universtity of Sheffield. Recently she designed the new studios of choreographer Siobhan Davies. She has been published and exhibited internationally and has lectured world wide. Peter Pleyer (Berlin) has worked as a dancer and choreographic assistant with Yoshiko Chuma in New York and Mark Tompkins in Paris. In Berlin he accompanies the rehearsal process of various choreographers focusing on new methods of composition. Paul Gazzola (Berlin / Perth) is involved in creating choreography as well as multi-media installations. Parallel to studying architecture and the Feldenkrais Method he created works with Les Ballets C. de la B., Xavier Le Roy and Joao Fiadeiro. Gazzola is particularly interested in how architectural structure constantly reconfigures the human structure.
