DANCE AT WORK Zweites Laboratorium zur Tanzdramaturgie HAU 2 /// EUR 6 / in English 26 AUG / 14.00 – 17.00 h Lecture Demonstration: Myriam Van Imschoot Im zeitgenössischen Tanz haben sich unterschiedlichste Produktionsweisen, Erzählformen und Performance-Strukturen entwickelt. Die Arbeit an simultaner und multiperspektivischer Wahrnehmung ersetzt die lineare Erzählung, das Sukzessive. Die Frage nach der Dramaturgie und der Position des Dramaturgen im Produktionsprozess ist dabei wenig beachtet. Dramaturgen bewegen sich in einem Feld voller Widersprüche und divergierender Bedürfnisse: Wie werden Materialien und Inhalte kritisch entwickelt? Welches sind heute Kompositionsprinzipien im zeitgenössischen Tanz? Ziel des Dramaturgielabors ist es, in der aktuellen Praxis zwischen Tanz, Theater, Performance und Installation die Frage nach dem Ausgangsmaterial und der Komposition neu zu stellen und so einen Diskurs über (Tanz-)Dramaturgie zu eröffnen. A wide range of production methods, narrative forms, and performance structures have developed within contemporary dance. Generally speaking, the focus has shifted from linear narratives and sequential structures to the incorporation of multiple perspectives. Dramaturgy and the role of the dramaturge have received little attention in this context so far. Dramaturges operate in a field of contradictions and conflicting needs. How can one foster a critical approach and develop material and content? What are the principles of composition in contemporary dance today? The dramaturgy „lab“ aims to take a fresh look at source material and composition in contemporary practice.
