In Zeiten der neuen Fetischisierung von Arbeit in Europa wird Jean de La Fontaines Fabel Die Grille und die Ameise zu einem formativen Prinzip für die Ideologie der Effizienz. Die heutige Ameise hat alle Fabeln verinnerlicht und verstanden, dass sich die Rollen verändert haben; dass das produzierende Element nur dann die Macht ausüben kann, wenn es gleichzeitig die Rolle des Parasiten übernimmt. Die Grille ist Produzent, die Ameise Performer geworden. CHANGES bewegt sich genau entlang dieser feinen Trennlinie zwischen der Macht zu handeln und dem Willen, sich zu entziehen. Es ist eine Tanzperformance, die ihre Sprache auf einem Beziehungsgeflecht zwischen Parasiten und Produzenten aufbaut, zwischen Trägheit und Arbeit, dem Klang von Musik und dem Klang der Produktion, Statischem und Veränderlichem, Stille und Lärm, Abstraktem und Gestischem.
In times of the new fetishization of labor on the European political scene, Jean de La Fontaine’s fable The Grasshopper and the Ant becomes almost a formative principle underlying the ideology of efficiency. CHANGES is a dance performance that builds its language upon a set of relations between parasites and producers, laziness and work, the sounds of music and production, the static and changeable, silence and noise as well as the abstract and gestural. “To grasp something about how BADco. ‘does’, one has to seek not ‘thoughts’ in their content, but understand the situations BADco. creates which force one to think. Because thinking is not a natural possibility, but a creation, and concepts are not evidence of common sense, but products of imagination, even fiction.“ (Bojana Cvejicˇ)
