IF I SING TO YOU ist Gesang ohne Worte oder Musik. Was ihn zusammenhält, sind unzählige zarte, witzige, dunkle, flüchtige, theatralische und absurd menschliche Momente, von Deborah Hay choreografiert und in Szene gesetzt. Es tanzt ein fantastisches Ensemble aus fünf Frauen, die zugleich Choreografinnen sind. Deborah Hay ist Tänzerin, Lehrerin, Autorin, Regisseurin und Choreografin und hat das Judson Dance Theatre in New York mitbegründet. Sie gilt unter Kritikern und Experten als bedeutende und einflussreiche Vertreterin des zeitgenössischen experimentellen Tanzes.
