| DE Die Tänzer rennen, springen sich in die Arme, halten, klammern und brechen mit Gewalt wieder aus der Gruppe heraus. Sie stoßen an ihre Grenzen, sie kooperieren und suchen dann wieder die Konfrontation. Yuval Pick ist in sein Heimatland Israel zurückgekehrt, um dort die Atmosphäre zu spüren, die Kommunikation und den Alltag der Menschen zu beobachten, Geräusche, Stimmen und Lieder aufzunehmen. Aus den gesammelten Eindrücken und Dokumenten hat Pick ein atemloses Stück geschaffen, das er selbst als ein Mosaik bezeichnet – als eine Metapher, die für den Reichtum und die Komplexität eines Landes steht, in dem große Spannungen herrschen. Ein Land, das noch immer auf der Suche nach seiner Identität ist. |

| EN »To create »Score«, I returned to my home country Israel to collect sound bites, testimonies, the vibration of the land. I then began questioning the mechanisms of the relationships between the people who live there; I was also inspired to transpose their vital and surviving energy. In Israel, there is a strong sense of urgency, of survival, which has not yet been processed; you notice it in the way people talk and move. »Score« was composed as a mosaic, a metaphor for this country’s richness and complexity, as well as to express my wish for another reality.« (Yuval Pick) |
