DE »TABULA RASA« ist eine offene Zuschauerschule, die den gängigen Begriff der »Lehre« in Frage stellt und stattdessen auf dem Austausch von Praktiken aufbaut. Während des gesamten Festivals finden »Unterrichtseinheiten« zu unterschiedlichen »Körper«-Begriffen (physischer Körper, politischer Körper, wissenschaftlicher Körper etc.) statt. »Lehrer« sind dabei nicht nur Choreografen oder Tänzer, sondern jeder, der sein Körperwissen oder seine Körperpraxis mit anderen teilen möchte.
»TABULA RASA« beginnt mit dem Format der »Shared Factories«, einem performativen Kontext für Diskussionen in kleinen interdisziplinären Gruppen aus Künstlern, Zuschauern, Bühnentechnikern, Besuchern etc. – zur Ermöglichung eines künstlerischen Kollektivexperiments. »TABULA RASA« verändert sich während des gesamten Festivals und findet in dem Event-Format »Around the Table« seinen Kulminationspunkt.
»Around the Table« lädt Personen, die eine besondere Körperpraxis ausüben – zum Beispiel eine Tantra-Masseurin, einen Currywurst-Verkäufer, einen Porträt-Maler, eine Stripperin oder einen Yoga-Masseur – ein, ihr Wissen mit einer kleinen Gruppe von Zuschauern zu teilen. »Around the Table« findet auf der Wiese im Hof des Podewil statt. Das Publikum nimmt dabei auf Picknickdecken Platz. |

EN The idea behind »TABULA RASA« is to propose an »Open School« in various formats, and to revisit the notions of teaching and learning by promoting the exchange of physical practices. During the whole festival, different classes will be given in relation to the notion of body/bodies (not only the physical body, but also the political, the imaginary, the scientific body...). The »teachers« of TABULA RASA are not exclusively choreographers or dancers participating in the festival, but also anyone who would like to share her or his specific body knowledge and practice. »TABULA RASA« will open its doors under the format of »Shared Factories«, a performative context for several discussion gatherings, in small and interdisciplinary groups made up of artists, spectators, technicians, visitors... for a collective and artistic experiment.
»TABULA RASA« will continue to evolve throughout the festival and reach its climax in the format of an »Around the Table« event. »Around the Table« invites people who have a particular body practice to share their knowledge with a small number of spectators. It will take place on the lawn in the Podewil courtyard, inviting the public to gather at picnic blankets where a guest speaker – for example a tantric masseuse, a currywurst seller, a painter of self-portraits, a female stripper, an up- side down yoga masseur ... – awaits to share his / her knowledge and experience of the body. |
