EUR 8 /// 60 MIN 31 AUG / 21.30 h 1 SEP / 22.00 h Antonija Livingstone richtet ihr Interesse auf die Aspekte und Einflüsse, die Heimat(en) oder das Heimischwerden an einem Ort, in einer Identität, einem Tanz oder einem anderen Körper steuern. Für THE PART hat Antonija Livingstone das Wissen ihres Körpers aus 15 Jahren darstellerischer und schöpferischer Arbeit über Tanz und Choreografie einer Revision unterzogen und versucht, seine Gewohnheiten und seine Identität immer weiter auszuhebeln. Die kanadische Tänzerin und Performerin arbeitete u.a. mit Meg Stuart, Benoît Lachambre, Vera Mantero und Heather Kravas. Seit 2000 entwickelt die Nomadin im Labor Bains::connective in Brüssel gemeinsam mit anderen Künstlern eigene Arbeiten. A nomad both as an artist and in her private life, Livingstone is concerned with the forces that govern home(s) and with the issue of homing in on a location, an identity, dance, or another body. THE PART is a playful exhibition and analysis of the lot of the (per)former: playing THE PART one has to play and performing a kind of autopsy on the location of the playing – a dancing of site and sound in which repetition and inconsistencies are inevitable. Antonija Livingstone dares to question what her body thinks it knows about dancing and choreography and to continue to subvert its habits and identity.
