Bei der Improvisation Impersonation Game befragt der Choreograf drei Personen zu seinem eigenen Stück, die so tun, als seien sie die Schöpfer dieses Stücks. Nach 15 Minuten wird die Diskussion geöffnet und das Publikum kann Fragen stellen. Instead of the classic artist talk, some of the choreographers participating in TANZ IM AUGUST will interview three people of their choice about their piece. The rule of the game is that these three impersonators answer the questions of the artist as if they themselves were the creators of the work. After 15 minutes, the discussion is opened to the audience. Hosted by Alice Chauchat, Conrad Noack and Petra Sabisch. BIS 23.08.2009, JEWEILS 14 BIS 17 H, HAU 1 Im Januar 2009 wurde der Berliner Club Maria am Ostbahnhof zum Schauplatz einer stummen Disco. Im Raum hörte man weder dröhnende Bässe noch hämmernde Beats - dafür aber die Geräusche der tanzenden Körper. Eben dieses Klangmaterial machten die Soundkünstler Brandon LaBelle und Benny Nilsen zum Ausgangspunkt einer Radioübertragung: Saal und Tanzfläche waren mit zahlreichen Mikrofonen bestückt, deren Signale live zu einer irritierenden Klangkomposition für das Radio verarbeitet wurden. Die Rundfunkhörer wurden Zeugen einer Geisterparty zwischen physischer Realität und virtueller Kommunikation. Basierend auf der Hörspielproduktion The music will not be broadcast für das Deutschlandradio wird LaBelle mit den Teilnehmern des Workshops im Rahmen von TANZ IM AUGUST die hörbaren Spuren des Körpers in Bewegung sammeln. Musik und Klänge dienen dabei als Stimulus der Bewegung. Resultat ist ein hörbares „Porträt“ des Tanzes, das im Anschluss an den Workshop im Foyer des HAU1 als Installation präsentiert wird. Nähere Informationen unter dance.assist@hebbel-am-ufer.de Based on his project The music will not be broadcast for Deutschlandradio, LaBelle will give a workshop in which he collects the audible traces of dancing bodies. Music will serve as a stimulus for movement. However, one won’t hear the deep bass or the hammering beats in the space; instead, only the sound of moving bodies will be audible. Precisely this material will then be reworked into a acoustic “portrait“, allowing participants to configure their own sonic choreographies. The result of the workshop will be presented as a sound installation at the foyer of HAU1. In English, no specific experience required. Limited number of participants.
