| DE Mit seinem neuen Stück setzt Xavier Le Roy seine Erkundungen der Grenzbereiche von Tanz und Choreografie fort. Die Performance dokumentiert seine Annäherung an den Butoh, einer Kunstform, die nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg in Japan als antiautoritäre Hinterfragung überkommener Begriffe von Tanz entstand. Dabei wird das Publikum zum Zeugen einer Erzählung, die aus generischen Ressourcen wie dem Internet, Büchern, persönlichen Erinnerungen und Anekdoten schöpft, um sich einer fremden kulturellen Form anzunähern. |

| EN In his new piece, Xavier Le Roy continues his inquiry into the boundaries of dance and choreography. This time in the form of a performance, resonating of his legendary »Product of Circumstances« (1999), but this time, instead of starting with his on biography, he proceeds from a position of exile. For two hours the audience follows Le Roy, a professional in the field of choreography, on a journey into Butoh, a form of dance in which he is an amateur. |
